Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Bar spoon
  • Strainer
  • Rocks glass
  • Small saucepan
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon or whiskey
  • 3 oz apple cider fresh is best
  • 1 oz caramel syrup or caramel sauce
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup optional, for extra sweetness
  • splash of club soda for topping
  • 1 cinnamon stick for garnish
  • apple slices thin, for garnish
  • pinch ground cinnamon optional, for topping
  • ice cubes or crushed ice

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add bourbon, apple cider, caramel syrup, and simple syrup (if using).
  • Shake for 10–15 seconds until chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
  • Top with a splash of club soda for bubbles and gently stir.
  • Garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick. Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top if desired.

Notes

Warm the cider gently before mixing for an extra cozy drink, but let it cool a bit before shaking with ice. No caramel syrup? Thin caramel sauce with a splash of water. For lighter drinks, cut back on syrup or add more club soda. For a richer drink, try a dash of cinnamon syrup.
