  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Bar spoon
  • Highball or collins glass
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup blueberries fresh
  • 1 oz lime juice fresh
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup 1:1 sugar and water
  • 2 oz gin optional
  • 3-4 oz club soda or sparkling water to top
  • ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • 1 wheel lime for garnish
  • extra blueberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Add blueberries and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker and muddle gently to release juices.
  • Add lime juice and gin (if using), then fill the shaker with ice.
  • Shake for about 10 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a highball or Collins glass packed with fresh ice.
  • Top with club soda or sparkling water and give a light stir.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel and a few blueberries. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for the brightest flavor. Adjust sweetness by tweaking the simple syrup. For a stronger berry note, muddle a few extra blueberries. When batching, prepare the blueberry-lime base ahead and add soda just before serving to keep the bubbles lively.
