  • Cocktail shaker
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Muddler
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Small saucepan
  • Mason jar for syrup storage

Ingredients

For the Lavender Syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

For Each Cocktail:

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz lavender syrup
  • 3 oz fresh lemonade
  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  • Make the lavender syrup first.
  • Combine water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir until sugar dissolves.
  • Then, add dried lavender and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and let it steep for 30 minutes.
  • After that, strain the syrup into a mason jar and refrigerate.
  • Add blueberries to a cocktail shaker and muddle until broken down.
  • Then, pour in vodka, lavender syrup, and lemonade.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake for 15-20 seconds.
  • Finally, strain the mixture into ice-filled glasses.
  • Garnish with fresh blueberries and a lavender sprig.

Notes

The lavender syrup keeps in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor. Frozen berries can work but may water down the drink.
For a non-alcoholic version, skip the vodka and add sparkling water.
Make sure to use culinary lavender - ornamental varieties can taste soapy.
The recipe makes enough syrup for 8-10 cocktails.
