Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • 6-8 fresh blueberries
  • 4 fresh basil leaves
  • Club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Extra blueberries and basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Add blueberries and basil leaves to the cocktail shaker.
  • Muddle gently to release the oils and juices.
  • Pour in vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds.
  • Fill a Collins glass with fresh ice.

Notes

Store-bought simple syrup works well, but making it at home is easy. Mix equal parts sugar and water in a pan, heat until dissolved, then cool.
