Blue Curacao Sunset Cocktail
The Blue Curacao Sunset Cocktail combines blue curaçao, orange juice, pineapple juice, and optional vodka for a stunning layered drink that tastes as refreshing as it looks—perfect for summer nights and parties.
Equipment
- Cocktail shaker
- Bar spoon
- Jigger or measuring cup
- Strainer
- Highball or tall glass
- Ice cube tray
Ingredients
- 2 oz orange juice
- 2 oz pineapple juice
- 1 oz blue curacao
- 1 oz vodka
- ice cubes enough to fill shaker and glass
- orange slice or pineapple wedge for garnish
- maraschino cherry optional, for garnish
Instructions
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
- Add orange juice, pineapple juice, and vodka (if using) to the shaker.
- Shake well until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
- Strain the mix into a tall glass filled with fresh ice.
- Slowly pour blue curaçao over the back of a spoon so it settles at the bottom and creates a “sunset” look.
- Garnish with an orange slice, pineapple wedge, or maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra color and sweetness, add a splash of grenadine (will change the layered look). Use cold juices and solid ice cubes for best results. Skip the vodka for a lighter drink. Serve in a clear glass to show off the sunset effect!
