A tropical, colorful twist on the classic Brazilian caipirinha. Blue Curacao Caipirinha blends cachaça, blue curaçao, fresh lime, and sugar for a crisp, citrusy cocktail with a bright blue color.
Place the lime wedges in the bottom of a rocks glass.
Add the simple syrup over the lime.
Use a muddler to press the lime wedges and release the juice.
Fill the glass with ice, either cubed or crushed.
Pour in the cachaça and blue curaçao.
Stir gently with a bar spoon until the drink looks even.
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use crushed ice for a colder, longer-lasting drink. Adjust the sweetness to your taste based on the tartness of the limes. Cachaça is traditional, but white rum works in a pinch.
