Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka or Patrón Silver tequila
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice fresh
  • 0.5 oz demerara syrup
  • 2 oz lemonade
  • blue food coloring a few drops
  • club soda splash, to top
  • ice crushed for shaking; cubes for glass

  • blueberry garnish option

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with crushed ice.
  • Add vodka (or Patrón Silver), pineapple juice, lemon juice, and demerara syrup.
  • Add a few drops of blue food coloring.
  • Shake hard for about 15 seconds until the shaker turns frosty.
  • Strain into a chilled highball or hurricane glass filled with fresh ice cubes.
  • Top with lemonade and a splash of club soda, then give a gentle stir.
  • Garnish with an orange peel, pineapple leaf, or a single blueberry.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for the cleanest flavor. Go light on the food coloring—just enough to pop. Demerara syrup adds a subtle caramel note; simple syrup can substitute. Adjust sweetness with lemonade to taste, and keep everything very cold for the brightest, crispest sip.
