bourbon

fresh-squeezed blood orange juice

fresh lemon juice

oz
simple syrup

egg white
optional, pasteurized

dashes
orange or aromatic bitters

slice
blood orange
for garnish
ice cubes
Instructions
Pour the bourbon, blood orange juice, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white (if using) into your shaker.
Dry shake for about 15 seconds to foam the egg white.
Add ice and shake again until cold.
Double strain into your glass.
Add bitters on top, swirl or decorate.
Garnish with a blood orange slice.
Notes
Swap lime for lemon for a sharper taste. Increase simple syrup for more sweetness. Use fresh citrus for best flavor.
