Ingredients

blackberry whiskey or blackberry bourbon

fresh lemon juice

simple syrup

fresh blackberries
plus extra for garnish

–3 fresh mint leaves
Club soda
sparkling water, or ginger ale (to top off)
Crushed ice
enough to fill glass

Instructions
Add fresh blackberries and mint leaves to a cocktail shaker.
Muddle gently until the berries are broken down and the mint is fragrant.
Add blackberry whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake for 15–20 seconds.
Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with crushed ice.
Top off with club soda, sparkling water, or ginger ale.
Stir gently with a bar spoon to combine.
Garnish with a lemon wheel, fresh blackberries, and a mint sprig.
Serve immediately while fizzy and cold.
