  • Muddler or fork
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spoon: For stirring.
  • Small bowl (optional)

  • Ice cube tray
  • Citrus juicer (optional)

Ingredients

  • ½ cup fresh blackberries washed
  • ½ lime juiced
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup or granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 6 –8 fresh mint leaves plus sprig for garnish
  • 1 cup club soda or sparkling water chilled
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream optional for “spider” style
  • Ice cubes to fill glass
  • Optional garnishes: blackberries lime wheel, mint sprig

Instructions

  • In a tall glass, add blackberries, sugar or syrup, and mint leaves.
  • Gently muddle the mix using a muddler or fork until the berries release their juices.
  • Squeeze in the lime juice and stir well.
  • (Optional): Strain the mixture into a clean glass to remove seeds and pulp.
  • Fill the glass ¾ full with ice cubes.
  • Slowly pour in the chilled soda, stirring gently to mix.
  • (Optional): Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for that classic spider-style fizz.
  • Garnish with extra blackberries, mint, or lime wheel.
  • Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
