Equipment

  • Rocks glass
  • Muddler
  • Bar spoon
  • Jigger
  • Small knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Ice scoop or spoon

Ingredients

  • 6-8 fresh blackberries
  • 1 lime cut into wedges
  • 2 tsp white sugar or more if sweeter preferred
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • crushed ice
  • lime wheel for garnish
  • blackberry for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the blackberries and lime wedges into a rocks glass.
  • Sprinkle sugar over the fruit.
  • Muddle gently to release juices and dissolve sugar.
  • Pour in the vodka and lime juice.
  • Fill the glass with crushed ice.
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel and a fresh blackberry.

Notes

The Caipiroska is smoother than a Caipirinha, with vodka instead of cachaça. Adjust sugar for sweetness and add more blackberries for stronger berry flavor. Crushed ice chills the drink quickly and blends flavors as it melts.
