Ingredients
2ozLondon dry gin
1ozfresh lemon juice
1/2ozsimple syrup
1/2ozcrème de mûreblackberry liqueur
4-5fresh blackberries
Crushed ice
Lemon wheel and blackberry for garnish
Instructions
Add fresh blackberries to the shaker and muddle until broken down.
Pour in gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake for 10-15 seconds.
Fill an old-fashioned glass with crushed ice. Strain the mixture into the glass.
Drizzle crème de mûre over the top of the drink. The liqueur will sink through the crushed ice, creating a gradient effect.
Garnish with a fresh blackberry and lemon wheel.
Notes
Fresh blackberries work best, but frozen can be used when fresh aren't available.The drink should be served immediately while the crushed ice is fresh.For a non-alcoholic version, replace gin with club soda and blackberry liqueur with blackberry syrup.Store simple syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
