Fresh mint leaves and extra blackberries for garnish
Instructions
Add blackberries to the shaker and muddle until they release their juices.
Pour bourbon, lemon juice, and simple syrup into the shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake for 15-20 seconds.
Fill a Collins glass with fresh ice.
Double strain the mixture into the glass to remove berry seeds.
Top with club soda and stir gently.
Garnish with fresh blackberries and mint leaves.
Notes
The drink can be made less sweet by reducing the simple syrup to 1/2 oz.Fresh berries work best, but frozen blackberries can work in a pinch.Store any leftover simple syrup in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.The cocktail can be made in larger batches for parties - just multiply the ingredients by the number of servings needed.Pre-chill the glasses for an extra cold drink.
