A fun, fizzy turquoise cocktail that layers Baja Blast’s tropical-citrus flavors with white rum (or tequila), blue curaçao, and fresh lime. Chill, shake, top with soda, and sip immediately.

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or small measuring cup
  • Strainer
  • Tall (highball) glass
  • Bar spoon or stir stick
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Mountain Dew Baja Blast chilled
  • 1.5 oz White rum or tequila
  • 0.5 oz Lime juice fresh
  • 0.5 oz Blue curaçao
  • 0.25 oz Simple syrup optional; to taste
  • Ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • Lime wedge or maraschino cherry for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add white rum (or tequila), lime juice, blue curaçao, and simple syrup (if using).
  • Shake for about 10 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
  • Strain into a chilled highball glass packed with fresh ice.
  • Top slowly with Baja Blast and give a gentle stir to swirl the colors.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge or cherry and serve immediately while fizzy.

Notes

For a lighter drink, reduce the spirit to 1 oz and skip the simple syrup. Make it slushy by blending everything with crushed ice instead of shaking. Keep the soda and glass well chilled to preserve carbonation and a crisp finish.
