Serving Size 1 cocktail

Equipment

  • Old fashioned glass
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Mixing glass
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur e.g., Kahlúa
  • ice cubes for serving
  • cream or milk optional splash to top
  • cocoa powder optional, for garnish
  • 2 beans coffee beans optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill an old fashioned glass with fresh ice.
  • Pour in the vodka and coffee liqueur.
  • Add Baileys Irish Cream and stir gently with a bar spoon until combined.
  • Optional: for a layered look, pour the Baileys over the back of a spoon.
  • Top with a small splash of cream or milk, if desired.
  • Garnish with a light dusting of cocoa powder or a couple of coffee beans. Serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust strength with more vodka, or sweetness with extra Baileys. Large ice cubes slow dilution and keep the drink colder longer. Chill the glass beforehand for the best texture. Avoid shaking vigorously to prevent unwanted foam—stirring keeps it silky.
