  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Bar spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Highball or coupe glass
  • Ice cubes
  • Small funnel

Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin or spiced rum
  • 1 oz lemon juice fresh
  • 0.75 oz agave nectar
  • 2 oz apple cider
  • 2-3 oz sparkling apple cider or prosecco, to top
  • 1-2 dash bitters optional
  • ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • apple slice for garnish
  • lemon twist optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add gin (or spiced rum), lemon juice, agave nectar, and apple cider.
  • Shake for 10–15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a chilled glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with sparkling apple cider or prosecco, then add bitters if using.
  • Stir gently to combine and garnish with an apple slice or lemon twist.

Notes

Use prosecco for a drier finish or sparkling apple cider for a fruitier profile. Dial back the agave if you prefer it less sweet. For batching, mix everything except the bubbly and bitters ahead of time, then add them to each glass right before serving.
