Ingredients

  • 2 oz whiskey bourbon or cinnamon whiskey
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice fresh
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup or honey syrup
  • 0.25 cup apple fresh apple pieces
  • 4-5 leaves mint
  • crushed ice for shaking and serving
  • apple cider optional, splash to top
  • mint sprig for garnish
  • 1 stick cinnamon for garnish (omit if using cinnamon whiskey)

Instructions

  • Add apple pieces, mint leaves, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker, then gently muddle to release juices and oils.
  • Add whiskey and lemon juice, then fill the shaker with crushed ice.
  • Shake for about 10 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass packed with crushed ice.
  • Optional: add a small splash of apple cider to soften the flavor.
  • Garnish with a mint sprig and a cinnamon stick; serve immediately.

Notes

Fresh lemon juice brightens the drink; adjust sweetness by adding a touch more simple syrup or honey. If using cinnamon whiskey, skip the cinnamon stick garnish to avoid overpowering spice. Best served icy cold right after shaking.
