  • Cocktail shaker
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Collins glass
  • Ice cube tray
  • Measuring jigger
  • Cutting Board
  • Sharp knife

Ingredients

  • 4 oz fresh apple juice
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Club soda to top
  • Ice cubes
  • Apple slice and mint sprig for garnish

Instructions

  • Add mint leaves and simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Muddle gently to release the mint oils.
  • Pour in the apple juice and lime juice.
  • Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  • Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  • Double-strain into a Collins glass filled with ice.
  • Top with club soda.
  • Garnish with an apple slice and mint sprig.

Notes

Store fresh mint leaves wrapped in damp paper towels in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Use cold-pressed apple juice for the best flavor. Avoid juice from concentrate.
The drink can be made up to 1 hour ahead, but add the club soda just before serving.
For a sweeter version, increase simple syrup to 3/4 oz. For less sweetness, reduce to 1/4 oz.
