Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Bar spoon
  • Strainer
  • Tall glass
  • Knife
  • Peeler
  • Small plate
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila Casamigos Blanco or any decent blanco
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 4 oz sparkling water Topo Chico or similar
  • 1 slice apple peel or apple wedge, for garnish
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • tajin optional, for rim
  • 0.5 oz bourbon optional, for deeper flavor
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • If desired, rim the glass with tajin for a chili-lime edge.
  • Fill your tall glass halfway with ice.
  • Add tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Shake quickly—about five seconds.
  • Strain the mix over ice into your glass.
  • Top with sparkling water and stir gently with a bar spoon to keep the fizz.
  • Add the cinnamon stick and apple peel (or apple wedge) as garnish.
  • Optional: Float a splash of bourbon on top for a deeper, richer twist.

Notes

Use Topo Chico for the best bubbles and flavor. Try a Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apple for garnish. Warm the cinnamon stick briefly for extra aroma. For a lighter drink, reduce tequila to 1.5 oz and add more sparkling water. More syrup = sweeter; add to taste. Serve immediately for fresh bubbles and the best spice aroma.
