Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 4 oz apple cider
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4 oz ginger beer or ginger ale for milder flavor
  • ice cubes
  • apple slices for garnish
  • lime wedge or wheel for garnish
  • 1 cinnamon stick for garnish
  • pinch of ground allspice or cloves optional

Instructions

  • Fill a copper mug with ice cubes.
  • Add vodka and apple cider to the mug.
  • Squeeze in fresh lime juice using a citrus juicer.
  • Pour ginger beer over the top.
  • Stir gently with the bar spoon to combine.
  • Garnish with apple slices, a lime wedge or wheel, and a cinnamon stick.
  • If desired, sprinkle a pinch of ground allspice or cloves on top for extra spice.

Notes

Use copper mugs to keep your drink extra cold. Adjust lime and ginger beer to taste, especially if your cider is sweet. Ginger ale is milder than ginger beer. Prep garnishes ahead for easy serving. Try adding a little ground ginger for more spice. Mocktail version: skip the vodka for a festive non-alcoholic sipper.
