Equipment

  • A large pitcher (64 oz or larger)
  • A long-handled spoon for stirring
  • Ice cube trays
  • Wine glasses or tall cocktail glasses

Ingredients

For a 64 oz pitcher (serves 8-10):

  • 2 750 ml bottles of Prosecco chilled
  • 1 750 ml bottle of Aperol chilled
  • 1 liter of soda water chilled
  • 2-3 oranges sliced
  • Ice cubes

Chill all liquids beforehand for the best taste. Use fresh oranges for a zesty flavor.

Instructions

  • Fill the pitcher halfway with ice cubes.
  • Pour in the Aperol.
  • Add the Prosecco.
  • Top with soda water.
  • Gently stir the mixture with a long-handled spoon.
  • Add orange slices to the pitcher.
  • Serve in glasses filled with ice. Garnish each glass with an orange slice.

Stir the pitcher before each pour to keep flavors mixed. Add more ice as needed.

    Notes

The Aperol Spritz tastes best when served right away. If not serving immediately, wait to add ice and soda water until just before guests arrive.
You can adjust the ratios to suit your taste. For a stronger drink, add more Aperol. For a lighter version, use more soda water.
Keep extra chilled Prosecco and soda water on hand to top off the pitcher as needed.
