I love making drinks that everyone can enjoy, and this Apple Cinnamon Sparkler Mocktail recipe is one of my favorites. It’s got that sweet, spicy apple-cinnamon thing going on, but there’s no alcohol, so it’s totally family-friendly.
The best part? Anyone can drink it—kids, adults, whoever—so it’s a go-to for family parties, holiday dinners, or honestly just a cozy night at home.
Whenever I serve this mocktail, people seem to light up and ask for the recipe. It’s refreshing, bubbly, and honestly, you probably have most of the ingredients on hand already.
If you’re hoping to impress your guests or just need a new drink to shake things up, this one’s worth a try.
Apple Cinnamon Sparkler Mocktail Recipe
I usually whip up this mocktail when I’m in the mood for something sweet and fizzy that still feels a bit warming.
It’s got cozy apple and cinnamon flavors, with a little lemony brightness and a sparkling twist at the end.
Equipment
- Measuring cups—for getting the amounts right
- Tablespoon and teaspoon—for the little stuff
- Tall glass or mason jar
- Mixing spoon—for stirring things up
- Citrus juicer if you’re squeezing fresh lemon
- Knife and cutting board—for slicing apples
- Fine mesh strainer—if you want to catch any pulp or spice bits
- Ice cube tray
- Peeler (optional)—for those fancy apple peel curls
Ingredients
- 1 cup apple juice (I like it chilled, and unsweetened if possible)
- ½ cup apple cider (for more apple oomph)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon or a cinnamon stick
- ½ cup sparkling water (plain or lightly flavored both work)
- Juice of ½ fresh lemon
- Ice cubes
- Thin apple slices (optional, for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, if you want it sweeter)
- Cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Add ice cubes to your glass until it’s about halfway full.
- Pour in apple juice and apple cider over the ice.
- Sprinkle ground cinnamon in, or just toss in a cinnamon stick.
- Squeeze in fresh lemon juice (a citrus juicer helps, but your hand works too).
- Stir gently to mix it all together.
- Top off with sparkling water for that bubbly finish.
- Taste and adjust: Sometimes I go for a touch of honey or maple syrup if the apples aren’t quite sweet enough.
- Garnish with thin apple slices and a cinnamon stick, if you’re feeling a little extra.
Notes
Freshly squeezed lemon juice really brightens things up, in my opinion. If you can’t find real apple cider, just use more apple juice—though it won’t have quite the same depth.
When I make this for kids, I tend to skip the extra sweetener since apple juice is already pretty sweet. For adults, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup can be nice if they want a little boost.
If the ground cinnamon clumps (which it sometimes does), I just stir well or strain it. For garnish, a peeled apple slice looks pretty cool curled on the rim.

Tasting Notes
When I take that first sip of the Apple Cinnamon Sparkler Mocktail, I get a gentle sweetness from the apple juice right away. There’s this cozy cinnamon spice that instantly brings to mind homemade apple pie—kind of nostalgic, honestly.
The bubbles from the sparkling water? They make every sip feel light, almost playful. I appreciate that it’s not overly sugary; the balance of flavors just works.
The apple and cinnamon come together really nicely, and the scent is just so inviting. Occasionally, there’s a bit of lemon that sneaks in and brightens everything up.
The drink feels cool and easygoing, especially if it’s warm outside. I love how the sparkle wakes up my taste buds and keeps things interesting.
