I love finding new ways to make classic drinks more interesting. That’s why I decided to share my easy recipe for a Lavender Lemonade Fizz Mocktail.
This refreshing drink mixes the sweet and floral taste of lavender with tangy lemonade and a bubbly finish. It’s a unique non-alcoholic option for any gathering.
When I serve this drink, people always ask for the recipe. It looks special, and honestly, it tastes even better.
The best part? You only need a few simple ingredients and basic tools to make it at home.
Lavender Lemonade Fizz Mocktail Recipe
Equipment
- Measuring cups and spoons: I use these for precise amounts of ingredients.
- Small saucepan: For making my lavender syrup.
- Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth: To strain out the lavender buds.
- Juicer: I use this to get fresh lemon juice.
- Pitcher: Useful for mixing everything together.
- Tall glasses: For serving the mocktail.
- Ice cube tray: For chilling the lemonade fizz.
- Optional: Cocktail shaker if I want to chill and mix quickly.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds
- 1 cup water for syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice from about 4 lemons
- 2 cups cold water
- Ice cubes as needed
- Lemon slices for garnish
- Lavender sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Add 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds to the pan, remove from heat, and let steep for 20 minutes.
- Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the lavender buds. Let the lavender syrup cool completely.
- In a large pitcher, mix the fresh lemon juice, 2 cups cold water, and all of the cooled lavender syrup.
- Top off each glass with chilled club soda or sparkling water.
- Stir gently, then garnish with lemon slices and, if desired, a sprig of lavender.
Notes
Tasting Notes
The first thing I notice is the soft, floral scent of lavender. It blends with a light lemon aroma that feels clean and bright.
When I taste the drink, there’s a gentle sweetness from the syrup. The lemon juice adds a tart flavor, which balances out the sweet notes.
The fizz from the sparkling water gives a refreshing, crisp mouthfeel. It makes the drink feel lighter and more lively.
I also pay attention to the aftertaste. The lavender lingers for a moment, while the lemon leaves my mouth feeling clean and cool.
These flavors combine for a mocktail that is light and pleasant. I find it easy to enjoy, especially when served cold.

Substitute
Sometimes I’m missing an ingredient when I’m making my Lavender Lemonade Fizz Mocktail.
So, here are a few easy swaps I’ve tried for the usual stuff.
Lavender:
- If I don’t have dried lavender, I’ll just grab lavender syrup or even lavender tea instead.
- Honestly, if I’m out of all things lavender, chamomile flowers give a nice floral vibe too.
- No lemons on hand? Bottled lemon juice works, or I’ll use lime juice for a bit of zing.
Sweetener:
- I swap out sugar for honey, agave syrup, or sometimes a sugar-free sweetener if that’s what’s sitting in my pantry.
- Out of sparkling water? I just use club soda or tonic water—they both do the trick.
- If I’m feeling like something sweeter, I’ll reach for lemon-lime soda instead.
